Request a movie or show
Search first, then request a missing title using the Plex account invited by the owner.

Live checks for Plex, Seerr, and Kavita, provided by Uptime Kuma.
Storage indicators labeled as media or library access verify representative files and required paths. They do not scan every title or guarantee playback on every device.
If the panel is blank or does not load, use the full status page. Checks can take a few minutes to reflect a change.
For a title or playback issue, report it in Seerr. If Seerr cannot help, contact the server owner through your usual support channel with the details below.
Search first, then request a missing title using the Plex account invited by the owner.
Open Seerr to request (opens in a new tab)In Seerr, open the title, choose Report an Issue, and describe what happened.
Open Seerr to report (opens in a new tab)Quick answers to the most common viewer problems. If an answer does not resolve the issue, include the title, device, and exact error when reporting it.
First check the live status panel above, then confirm your device is online and reopen Plex. If the status page is green but Plex still cannot connect, sign out and back in or try another network. If several devices fail at once, report it with the time the problem started.
Try another title to see whether the problem is limited to one file. Close and reopen Plex, then try the title again. If it still fails, report the title and the exact on-screen error in Seerr; avoid repeatedly retrying a title that is clearly failing.
Buffering can be caused by the connection between your device and the server, or by a stream that Plex must convert. Test another title, move closer to Wi-Fi or use Ethernet, and pause other heavy downloads or streams. If subtitles are enabled, try turning them off briefly; some subtitle formats can require extra conversion. If quality is set to Auto, Plex may lower it to keep playback moving. Include whether you are at home or away from home when asking for help.
Open the playback menu and select a different subtitle track, then disable and re-enable subtitles. If only one title has the problem, report the title and the language or subtitle behavior in Seerr. Mention whether the subtitles are missing entirely, delayed, or ahead of the dialogue.
A request can take time to download, process, and appear in the library. Check Seerr for the request status first. If it shows as available but is still missing in Plex after some time, report the title in Seerr so the library can be checked.
Open Seerr, search for the title, choose the correct movie or show, and select Request. For a show, select the seasons you want if prompted. Search first so you do not create a duplicate request.
Probably not. Compare the devices by checking the app is updated, the device has a working internet connection, and the same Plex account is signed in. Restart the affected app or device. If only one device continues to fail, include its model, operating system, and Plex app version in your report.
Include the title and episode or season, device and app, whether you are home or away, the approximate time, what you expected to happen, and the exact error message. Also say whether the problem affects one title, one device, or everything, and whether subtitles were enabled. A short screen recording or screenshot can help when the issue is visual.
Try another title first. If other titles work, the problem may be limited to that file or its audio, video, or subtitle tracks. Report the exact title, episode or season, device, and error in Seerr rather than repeatedly retrying it.
Check the service status panel, then try Plex on one other device if available. If several devices are affected at the same time, include when the problem started and whether you are at home or away. Do not change router or Plex server settings unless the server owner asks you to.
